General Regulations

It is of the utmost importance that you comply with the following terms and conditions.

ARTICLE 1.

These regulations are binding on Hotel Boutique Casa Fernanda, located at 20 Niño Artillero Street, San José Neighborhood, and all guests who book their services.

ARTICLE 2.

Every person staying at this establishment is required to register at the reception desk and present a valid government-issued ID.

ARTICLE 3.

Check-out and room vacancy are set at 12:00 p.m. each day. Guests staying longer than this will be charged an additional day’s stay. There will be a maximum delay of 60 minutes upon prior notice. If you wish to change your check-out date, we recommend notifying the reception desk.

ARTICLE 4.

No guest has the right to accommodate another person without the prior consent of management. This can only be done by making the appropriate arrangements for check-in and fees. Guests may only have employees at their service with the hotel manager’s permission. In this case, they will be the responsibility of the room owner, who will be responsible for their conduct. Otherwise, the hotel may cancel the service. The hotel reserves the right to refuse admission to visitors in their rooms.

ARTICLE 5.

If a guest becomes ill, the hotel’s reception may call a doctor with the guest’s authorization, and they may be treated in their room. If the illness is contagious due to causes not attributable to the hotel, they will be transferred at their own expense to a suitable location. Otherwise, the hotel will cover the costs. The hotel has insurance for these cases.

ARTICLE 6.

The hotel is responsible for any loss that guests may suffer in cash and valuables deposited in the hotel safe. For this purpose, they must hand them over to the appropriate manager. However, the hotel will not be responsible for cash or valuables not deposited in the room safe or left in public areas or rooms.

ARTICLE 7.

Guests are not permitted to have any type of animal in the rooms without management’s authorization, except for those assisting disabled guests.

ARTICLE 8.

The rights of the establishment and guests to report to the competent authority any illegal act or act that gives rise to liability for any of the parties to their person or property are preserved, as long as it occurs within the establishment.

ARTICLE 9.

All complaints, suggestions, or compliments must be recorded in the complaints and suggestions logbook, which the hotel management is required to always have available to guests, in accordance with the guidelines established by the Ministry of Tourism.

ARTICLE 10.

The hotel must have the hotel rates clearly displayed in the reception area. These regulations must be posted in all hotel rooms.

ARTICLE 11.

This hotel is prohibited from charging for services not provided or for access to common facilities available to guests. Use of the pool is strictly prohibited for non-residents. Being a guest at the hotel does not entitle the guest to invite other guests to use the facilities.

ARTICLE 12.

The hotel is obligated to honor guest reservations duly confirmed and guaranteed in advance by 6:00 p.m. each day; otherwise, the hotel will assign said rooms at its convenience.

ARTICLE 13.

Management must immediately notify the competent authority if it discovers a risk of contagion or any unusual event, observing the provisions of Article 5 of these regulations.

ARTICLE 14.

Lodging services must be paid in advance or daily for stays of less than 7 days. For longer stays, guests may pay weekly. If they do not pay punctually, they will lose the right to use the room. Management will issue an official payment receipt upon request.

ARTICLE 15.

Furniture, clothing, and other service objects must be used with restraint, taking proper care of them. Upon leaving their room, all guests are required to close the doors, windows, and water outlets, as well as return the keys and remote control to the reception desk.

ARTICLE 16.

A sufficient number of fire extinguishers have been installed in the establishment in case of an accident. In such circumstances, guests must notify management.

ARTICLE 17.

Guests must behave decently and morally within the establishment. Disturbing public order, making noises that inconvenience or disturb other guests, or using the room for meetings intended to disturb public order or for gambling prohibited by law are prohibited.

ARTICLE 18.

In the provision of services by the hotel, there will be no discrimination based on sex, political or religious beliefs, nationality, or social status.

ARTICLE 19.

During their stay, guests are prohibited from engaging in acts that violate the morality, good manners, or peace of mind of other guests. The establishment may cancel accommodation services in these cases.

ARTICLE 20.

Employees of the company must respect the ownership of rooms by a guest by virtue of the established relationship and the validity of the relationship, thus guaranteeing their privacy. They may only have access to occupied rooms in fully proven cases where the guest’s safety is threatened or at the guest’s request.

ARTICLE 21.

Guests are strictly prohibited from preparing food in the room, using electricity for purposes other than lighting, and washing and hanging clothes within the establishment.

ARTICLE 22.

It is strictly prohibited to bring or consume intoxicating beverages into the room, as well as bringing, applying, or consuming any type of drugs or stimulants.

ARTICLE 23.

Guests are prohibited from nailing or placing portraits, images, or other objects on the walls, or from possessing medicines, explosive materials, corrosives, or substances whose odor or stench could make the environment unpleasant or endanger it and/or bother other guests.

ARTICLE 24.

When guests use the parking lot, they must park their cars in a suitable location, allowing other vehicles to park. The hotel is not responsible for the vehicle or any objects left inside. Any vehicle not registered at the reception desk will be taken to the municipal parking lot.

ARTICLE 25.

When a guest causes a disturbance within the establishment or deliberately violates any of the articles of these regulations, the manager, with the assistance of the authorities (if necessary), will demand the immediate evacuation of the room.

ARTICLE 26.

The hotel pool does not have lifeguard service. Children under 12 years of age may not use it without adult supervision. Swimming in the pool is prohibited. Diving is prohibited. Drinking or eating food not provided by the hotel is prohibited. The use of glass containers and radios is prohibited. Please do not remove bath towels from the rooms. We provide pool towel service, which is placed in the room closets.

ARTICLE 27.

In cases not covered by these regulations, the Federal Tourism Law, the current regulations of lodging establishments, and other applicable provisions will apply.

ARTICLE 28.

The hotel has a Civil Liability insurance policy covering third-party damages. Guests will enjoy the benefits of this policy in relation to their personal and property rights. The details and characteristics of this general insurance policy are available to guests at the hotel management office for information.

ARTICLE 29.

Any person is prohibited from consuming or having any tobacco product lit in the 100% smoke-free spaces, rooms, common areas, restaurant, bar, and spa. Failure to comply with this regulation will result in a fine of $5,000.00 pesos.

ARTICLE 30.

Any damage to furniture, carpets, electrical appliances, sanitary fixtures, and hotel equipment in general will be charged to the person registered in the room. The furniture, linens, and all equipment in the room are under inventory and will not be moved from one room to another.

ARTICLE 31.

No guest may retrieve their luggage from the hotel without first settling their account at reception.

Federal Law on Tobacco Consumption

ARTICLE 26.

Anyone is prohibited from consuming or lighting any tobacco product in 100% smoke-free spaces, as well as in public and private elementary and high schools.

ARTICLE 48.

The following shall be punishable by a fine:

I. Up to one hundred times the current general daily minimum wage of the economic zone in question, failure to comply with the provisions of Article 26 of this law.

II. From one thousand to four thousand times the general minimum wage in force in the economic zone in question, failure to comply with the provisions contained in articles 14, 15, 16, 27 and 28 of this law.

III. From four thousand to ten thousand times the general daily minimum wage in force in the economic zone in question, failure to comply with the provisions contained in articles 13, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 31 and 32 of this law.
